GDRFA Dubai at ATM 2026: Red Carpet, Click and Travel, flexible visas and more to feature this year
Visitors can discover visa services and exclusive tourist discounts
DUBAI – Visitors to Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026 will get an insight into how Dubai is using biometric technology, digital services and flexible visa options to make travel more seamless.
The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) will present an integrated range of immigration and travel services at the four-day exhibition.
ATM 2026 is taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre from September 14 to 17. GDRFA Dubai’s participation will focus on services designed to facilitate mobility, expand options for visitors to the UAE and improve the passenger experience from arrival at Dubai’s ports through to departure.
Among the main services being showcased are the Red Carpet biometric passenger clearance service, Click and Travel mobile passport control, the UAE’s five-year multiple-entry tourist visa, a 60-day entry visa for eligible travellers and the ALSAADA Card programme, which provides offers and discounts through a network of partners.
Major General Talal Ahmed Al Shanqaiti, Assistant Director-General for Airports at GDRFA Dubai, said the exhibition would provide an opportunity to introduce the travel and tourism community to solutions developed to facilitate different stages of the visitor journey.
“In collaboration with our partners, we continue to develop faster and more flexible services and provide options tailored to travellers’ needs,” he said. He added that the approach reflects Dubai’s readiness to provide a seamless, safe and integrated travel experience while supporting the growth and sustainability of the tourism sector.
Biometric travel
A major feature at the GDRFA Dubai stand will be the Red Carpet service, which uses biometric verification technology to identify passengers and complete passport control procedures without requiring them to repeatedly present travel documents.
The service is designed to simplify border-control procedures while improving operational efficiency and speeding up passenger processing. It forms part of Dubai’s wider use of smart technologies to create a more convenient airport experience.
GDRFA Dubai will also showcase Click and Travel, a mobile passport control service that gives passport control officers the ability to complete travellers’ entry and departure procedures using mobile devices during peak periods and emergencies.
The system combines biometric technology with automated pre-screening of passenger data and secure connectivity to relevant systems. This provides officers with greater operational flexibility while helping support the smooth movement of passengers through Dubai’s airports.
Together, the two services demonstrate how biometric identification, digital processing and mobile technology are being used across different stages of the passenger journey.
Flexible visas
Visitors to the stand will also be able to learn more about the UAE’s five-year multiple-entry tourist visa, which allows eligible travellers to enter the country multiple times without requiring a sponsor or host in the UAE.
The visa is designed to provide greater flexibility for travellers planning repeat visits, subject to the approved regulations, conditions and requirements.
GDRFA Dubai will also highlight the 60-day entry visa available to nationals of certain countries residing abroad. Eligible travellers can use the service as a flexible option for visiting the UAE, with issuance remaining subject to the applicable entry requirements and conditions.
The visa services will give tourism and travel industry representatives attending ATM an opportunity to understand the options available to different categories of visitors and the requirements associated with each service.
ALSAADA benefits
Another feature at the exhibition will be the ALSAADA Card, showcased by the Events and Quality of Life Department.
The programme allows tourists arriving through Dubai’s ports of entry to access exclusive offers and discounts from a wide network of partners. The benefits cover sectors including tourism, travel, dining, retail, health and beauty, vehicle services and other areas.
Visitors can also learn how to activate the ALSAADA app using their passport details and explore offers available during their stay in Dubai.
Throughout ATM 2026, specialised GDRFA Dubai teams will be available at the stand to explain the features of the services, provide information on how travellers can benefit from them and respond to enquiries from members of the public.
Representatives of tourism and travel companies will also be able to engage with the teams and learn more about the immigration, passenger and visitor-focused services being presented at the exhibition.
GDRFA Dubai’s stand will be open to visitors daily from 10am to 6pm throughout Arabian Travel Market 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
